Kelly’s Slater Wave

The wave of Kelly Slater !! After 10 years working on the idea last December finally the 11-time world champion opened its expected artificial surf wave. His happy face says it all lol 🙂 It’s been many years behind this idea and finally materialized. The project is called Kelly Slater Wave Company and has come to revolutionize the world of artificial waves. This is the first step, the second is simply to generate self-sufficiently waves renewable energy thanks to the California sun.
Do not miss the video in 4K, sit back and let it rip:

Now that the world title has been decided and the tests have been completed by this year I’m excited to teach what I’ve been saving for a couple of weeks ago.

For almost ten years, my team and I have been working on the creation of the first artificial waves really world class and high performance. This is something I’ve been dreaming about since I was little. Through rigorous science and technology, we have been able to design and build what some said was impossible.

I am proud to say that we have taken our time to get it right, and the first fully functional prototype of the wave is exite and (a huge personal thanks to everyone in our laboratory and our team for having this vision).

I will share more details in the coming weeks and months, but I can not wait to share these images from my experience surfing the wave for the first time almost two weeks ago. It was a crazy day. I’m still a bit incredulous, and trying to process what fun it is this wave, but certainly feel like this will change many perceptions of the man-made waves.

You have a direct link in my bio to to see the film. I can not wait to see other people surfing this wave and teach what is possible on this thing.

And after several months after his inauguration, Kelly opened the doors of his other professional surfers wave, do not miss that delight:
